Jo Gwilliam

After years of working in financial services alongside my work as a massage therapist, I decided to take a leap of faith and become a full-time therapist as Project Active!

My real passion is in treating people and allowing them to achieve their fitness goals rather than being sat at a desk all day eating chocolate and staring at spreadsheets.

Having been qualified in Reflexology, Swedish Massage and Sports Massage Therapy for more than 10 years, I went on to complete ‘BTEC level 5 Professional Diploma in Soft Tissue Therapy’ as well as attending many advanced-technique courses such as releasing the lower back and hips and understanding/treating neck pain.  This ensures I will identify the underlying causes of your injury and offer more long-term improvements in your physical wellbeing and injury prevention.

I love to run and as a qualified Leader in Running Fitness, I help others (groups and individuals like you) into regular activity improving their health and wellbeing.

My biggest achievement to date? Running the London Marathon in 2015.

In 2019, I started on a new journey and trained as a Level 3 Qualified Pilates Matwork Instructor and have classes running in Hucclecote and Kingsway.

So whether you’re recovering from, or looking to prevent a recurrence of an injury or if you need help to achieve your fitness goals, then why not get in touch?

My mission

My aims are simple; to get you back up and running if you’re injured, to keep injuries at bay allowing you to remain active or to reintroduce activity back into your life.
